90 Percent of Hydrants in Central Jakarta Have Water Crisis

As many as 5,000 hydrants of fire extinguisher are spread in Central Jakarta. However, 90 percent of them have no water supply.

"Even water hydrants, the clutch is often stolen by scavengers and irresponsible person," said Head of Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department, Idris Daharina N, Tuesday (10/13).

Therefore, Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede wants a team to be formed for normalizing hydrants. In the team, Aetra and Palyja as water supplier should be involved.

90 Hydrants in West Jakarta Malfunctioned

"Don't let hydrants have no water. We learn from fire incident in Kebon Melati Market, the hydrant had no water. The river has also many mud, we don't want such trouble to happen again," he expressed during executive of Central Jakarta, Tuesday (10/13).
