Unification Plan of PAM Jaya-PAL Jaya Keeps Being Finalized

The unification plan of two City-owned water companies PAM (Drink Water) Jaya and PAL Jaya (Waste Water Processing) keeps being finalized by Jakarta Governor, Basuki ‘Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama.

Because if water keeps being taken from lake and river yet it is not circulated , it will surely get dried

Basuki told, the unification is conducted as the two BUMD have relation in water processing. He exemplifies, waste water processing is much needed in order not to dispose in vain.

"Like in Singapore, they don't buy water from Malaysia anymore, because if water keeps being taken from lake and river yet it is not circulated, it will surely get dried," said Basuki when he attended Workshop of PAM Jaya-PAL Jaya Unification Plan, Tuesday (10/6).

PAM Jaya Prefers to Serve Industry than Citizen, Ahok Says

Jakarta itself, is currently not lacking of water. Since some big rivers such as Citarum, Ciliwung and Cisadane never get dry. However, waste water processing is very important in order not to rely on the existing water flow.

"Actually it can be installed from north area that has many luxury houses. So there will be no more disposing waste to sea, In future we will install it in all residential," he disclosed.
