Ahok Duga PAM Jaya Suplai Air ke Industri

PAM Jaya Prefers to Serve Industry than Citizen, Ahok Says

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, showed his annoyance to Regional-Owned Enterprise PAM Jaya. Basuki assessed PAM Jaya only works for money rather than serve the customer. As the result, Jakarta always suffers clean water crisis since decade ago.

Since 1981, I lived in Jakarta, I take a bath like a rich people by using mineral water. Now I'm fully mad

"Since 1981, I lived in Jakarta, I take a bath like a rich people by using mineral water. Now I'm fully mad," Basuki said during his speech in the socialization of water resistance, Wednesday (10/8).

The man who usually named Ahok, continued that North Jakarta still has difficulty to get water supply and forced to use ground water.

Making PHB Not Functioning, 39 Buildings Demolished

"I see there is free water tank, but they prefer to sell it to industry. I lived in an area that prone to flood, but still no water in Pluit. It feels like being cheated, but this is Jakarta," he continued.

According to him, this condition is dangerous because the citizen will use ground water continually. This makes the ground subsidence in Jakarta.

Ahok stated that city government should give the best for the citizen in water supply. It is including in privatization to operator that have cooperation with PAM Jaya, Palyja.

So far, the acquisition could not be done since the city government still faces a lawsuit from Jakarta Legal Aid (LBH). Therefore, Ahok threatens to sack civil servants who 'play' with this matter.

"Just wait until next year, I'm ready to sack them," Ahok uttered.
