Ahok to Reshuffle Jakarta BUMD Directors

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama plans to reshuffle the ranks of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) under Jakarta Provincial Government. The reshuffle is prioritized on president director position.

"Besides civil servant, we will also reshuffle all Jakarta BUMD directors massively," expressed Ahok, at City Hall, Monday (1/19).

He disclosed it aims to boost performance thus every employee can give a major contribution to the local revenue (Penda). As a matter of fact, there was no significant contribution resulted by BUMD, where a lot of dividend targets cannot be achieved.

Mass Reshuffle, Jakarta Civil Servants' Salary Undisbursed

Former regent of East Belitung also wanted to have figures of BUMD director who has a high integrity and honest in performing their duties and responsibilities. "Most importantly, they are not crazy about money," he stressed.

As the initial phase, he continued, Jakarta BUMD directors will undergo competence test first. "We've selected some directors, and this is final. I assure, the people can work hard," he asserted.

Ahok added that the whole range of BUMD will be reshuffled. "All will be replaced," he stated.

As known, for PT Jakarta Propertindo position is still empty until now, in line with the appointment of Budi Karya Sumadi became Director of PT Angkasa Pura II by the BUMN Minister, Rini MS.
