RPTRA Intensified to Prevent Juvenile Delinquency

East Jakarta Vice Mayor, Husein Murad assessed the Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) can prevent violence against child and juvenile delinquency cases to happen. Considering, such cases are often caused by the unavailable place to interact positively.

"It can lessen the case of violence against child and juvenile delinquency, as children play in the determined place, thus it's easy for parents to control them," he told after RPTRA groundbreaking on Jalan Kamboja, Kebon Pala, Makasar, Tuesday (10/13).

He uttered this year, 7 RPTRA will be built in this area, 4 of them will be built in flat and the rests in densely populated area. "There will be 2 more, they are on progress. Hopefully, it could be realized this year," he uttered.

The addition of RPTRA in some locations, he added, could be used as a facility for children to gather doing various positive activities. So, violence against children and drugs abuse could be avoided.

"Because children already can play in place equipped with playing facilities and be controlled by the local public figures," he disclosed.
