Jalan Raya Kalimalang, East Jakarta is lacking street light. As a result, the connecting road of Jakarta and Bekasi are dark.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com observation, there are a number of dark spots ranging from Pangkalan Jati intersection up to Duren Sawit Sector Police Headquarter. The dark itself is seen along 800 meters long road.

This condition can harm motorist at night. Whereas along the inspection road is experiencing severe damage by many holes and bumpy roads. “ Why they don’t install any lamps here, its dark, dangerous ,” said Faisal (34), one of motorists, Friday (10/16).

Regarding the matter, Head of East Jakarta Industry and Energy, Saukhani said since the bidding process is currently being carried out. It is expected street light would have installed in next week.

"We’re working on it. It is expected that as soon as the lights installed in Kalimalang PJU. But I still know nothing about its exact amount," he disclosed.
