City-North Korea Establishing Cooperation

Jakarta Provincial Government and North Korea, agreed to establish cooperation in several sectors and businesses.

We are interested to work together on several sectors. We also try to explore the potential for business to business between City and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) with North Korea companie

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat disclosed that Jakarta government slightly interested in three excellent sectors that are the hallmark of North Korea, namely health, sports and education.

In health sector for instance, Djarot hoped, Jakarta can learn the Korean medical techniques that he knows it is quite good. And then sport, his party is going to learn a number of sports such as weightlifting, table tennis and taekwondo. Last is education, potential for the exchange of medical students will be explored.

"We are interested to work together on several sectors. We also try to explore the potential for business to business between City and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) with North Korea companies," he uttered, at City Hall, Tuesday (10/20).

Djarot furthered that Republic of Korea is currently focused on public housing. It is an opportunity for PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), as BUMD that engaged in property, to take a role.

"There must be further technical discussion in detail. But the closest will soon be realized, such as the exchange of animals," he finished.
