Got Back from Korea, A Baby Suspected of Having MERS

Previously, the baby and the parents just got back from Korea

A baby initials M, has to be admitted in isolation room of the Sulianti Saroso Infection Diseases Hospital (RSPI), Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The 2-year old baby is suspecting the symptoms of East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (MERS-CoV). 

M just got back from Korea for holiday along with the parents on June 1-5 ago. After returning to Jakarta last Saturday (6/6), M had a cold, cough, and flu. Then, after the baby got a medical treatment in one of clinics in West Jakarta, then M referred to Sulianti Saroso RSPI, as it is worried the baby will be infected by MERS-Cov.

Director of Sulianti Saroso RSPI, Dr. Fatmawati justified currently her side is taking care of the baby initials M suspected of MERS-Cov. The baby is being admitted after got a cold with temperature 38.7 degree for a couple of days. 

"Previously, the baby and the parents just got back from Korea. As based on incubation period of MERS-CoV up to 14 days, the victim who is experiencing the symptoms isolated immediately," expressed Fatmawati, Wednesday (6/24). 

She added before the baby is stated negative, his party would handle M as the procedure of MERS-CoV Handling. RSPI side allowed M to be accompanied by M's mother as M is still a baby.
