Fire in Sarinah Building Caused Two Persons Injured

Fire in Sarinah Building, Jalan MH Thamrin, Menteng, Central Jakarta was finally successfully extinguished. But, the loss estimation reached Rp 50 million. Meanwhile, 2 persons who are still unidentified suffer burnt and have been rushed to hospital.

Head of Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department, Subejo stated, the fire was from Ahmad Dani's Masterpiece Karaoke Kitchen on the 14th floor.

" There are 2 persons injured and then rushed to hospital, but they are still unidentified , however the fire has successfully been managed after deploying 40 firemen," he explained, Thursday (10/15).

Fire Hit Sarinah Building, Visitors Evacuated

He told, for the fire cause is still waiting for investigation result from Laboratory and Forensics Center of Police Headquarters.

"We're also deploying snorkel as high as 90 m to help cooling down from outside of the building, the fire did not expand thus it could be managed quickly," he told.
