318 Transjakarta Buses Failed on KIR Test

As many as 318 Transjakarta buses are failed on KIR test. The broken is on the buses' completeness and the supporting, could endanger passengers.

The buses should be monitored and quality controlled so that the broken could be handled

"Of the 565 Transjakarta buses tested KIR in here throughout April-September 2015, there are only 247 units passed. The rest 318 units are failed," said Head of Pulogadung Motor Vehicles Test (PKB) for Jakarta Transportation Department, Muslim, Wednesday (10/21).

Raid Towards Unworthy Transjakarta Bus Keeps Being Intensified

According to Muslim, from that number can be concluded that 56 percent of buses failed on the test. Most of them are broken on the air conditioner (AC), the automatic door, passengers holders and inappropriate brake power.

"The buses should be monitored and quality controlled so that the broken could be handled," he told.

He disclosed that, all this time his party is indiscriminate doing the test even if it is government's vehicles like Transjakarta. "As government's vehicles, Transjakarta is supposed to be a pilot for other transportation," he asserted.
