Basuki Sebut Operator Ogah Beli Bus Baru

Basuki Involves Local Entrepreneurs to Participate in Transjakarta Bus Procurement

Jakarta Transportation Department will take harsh sanction against unruly operator of Transjakarta bus who neglects to replace old bus.

So they think because we have limited bus, they won’t replace it with new one

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama acknowledged that the bus is supposed to be not operating in the age of 5-6 years and should be replaced with new ones.

Old Transjakarta Buses will Be Reconditioned

“So they think because we have limited bus, they won’t replace it with new one,” he said at City Hall, Friday (10/23).

According to him, the problem happens in the old contract with the previous operator. According to the plan the inappropriate plan must be stopped. “That’s why we have to add with a new one. The problem is the contract, we wanna stop it,” he expressed.

Ahok added to smoothen the plan the procurement supposed to be submitted through e-catalogue. Thus we can engage local entrepreneur to participate. “I decide to use local product rather than import and stop contract with unrully operator,” he told.

About 60-70 percent of Transjakarta buses are unworthy. Nevertheless, there will be 500 new buses by the end of this year. “We can add more 500 buses this year and stop operation of the old one,” he asserted.
