Jakarta City Police Ready to Safeguard 2015 Jak Marathon

The ranks of Jakarta City Police are going to safeguard the event of 2015 Mandiri Jakarta Marathon which will take route from National Monument (Monas), Jalan Gajah Mada, Rasuna Said, Gatot Subroto and Senayan. The event itself will be held on Sunday (10/25).

Chief of Jakarta Traffic Police Education and Traffic Engineering Sub-Directorate, Adj. Comr. Ipung Purnomo appealed during the event, the motorists do not pass Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin, Southwest Monas, Abdul Muis, Majapahit, Gajah Mada, Pintu Besar Selatan, Malaka, Tanah Bendera, Kunir, Kemukus, Hayam Wuruk, IR H Juanda, Pos Indonesia, Veteran, Majapahit, Imam Bonjol, HR Rasuna Said, Jalan Gatot Subroto and Jalan Gerbang Pemuda.

"You’d better avoid those aras due to it would be used for the event," he expressed.

Purnomo added that road closure will be imposed on Jalan Imam Bonjol, HR Rasuna Said, Jalan Gatot Subroto and Gerbang Pemuda. The rest lanes can be used for vehicles, except Car Free Day lanes, Jalan Hayam Wuruk and Jalan Gajah Mada which will be closed entirely.

"The race is slated to be startted around 5-10 AM,” he closed.
