Ahok: Jakartans, Don't Be Lazy to Do Exercise

Because of unhealthy lifestyle and lazy to exercise, making Jakartans are vulnerable to suffer dangerous diseases, like diabetes, hypertension, colesterol, heartattack, etc. One of the cheapiest and effective sports can do is marathon.

"Because Jakartans' health is on national line of diabetes, heart attack, or hypertension, all of them are on national average. That's why, by the event, we hope people have spirit to exercise," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), after he released 35 thousands participants of Jakarta International 10K competition at Monas, Central Jakarta, Sunday (5/31).
Ahok claimed such event is also as a message for Jakartans to diligently exercise. "Don't be lazy to exercise. Marathon and gymnastics are easiest exercise to do," he appealed.
Jakarta Hosting Jakarta International 10K to Celebrate AnniversaryThe event was also participated by International runner from Kenya named Silas Kiputro who was last year champion with time record 28 minutes 52 seconds. Besides that, there was another International runner from Kenya, a woman named Esther Chemtai Ndiema, that was also last year champion with time record 29 minutes 17 seconds.
The marathon route is started from Southwest of Monas, then passing Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, Jalan Abdul Muis, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Gajah Mada, then turn around in front of Glodok Police Post towards to Jalan Hayam Wuruk, continued to Jalan Medan Merdeka and finish at Southwest of Monas.
