23 Taxi Boats Meet Sailing Permit Requirement

As many as 23 traditional boats or taxi boats have had sailing permit. Providing safety equipments, is one of the requirements that must be fulfilled by the boats to transport passenger from Kali Adem, North Jakarta to Seribu Island or in reverse.

Until this time there have been 23 boats obtaining official sailing permit, the rest are still dispensation

Head of Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-Department, Marulitua Sirait stated that his side keeps encouraging boat owners to process the permit and provide safety equipments.

"The requirements are should be fulfilled. Until this time there have been 23 boats obtaining official sailing permit, the rest are still dispensation," he stated, Monday (10/26).

19 Taxi Boats in Seribu Islands Have Met Requirements

Currently, in Kali Adem Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, besides one boat of Jakarta Transportation Department, there are also 42 boats operating to transport passengers from and will go to Seribu Islands.

"We hope all of them to meet the requirements. We will evaluate it by the end of this October," he disclosed.
