Basuki Wants All Trees List to Be Inputted on Smart City

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) instructs the Parks and Cemeteries Department to input list of all trees in the city to Smart City. It aims to know trees which are already old and prone to collapse so that could be anticipated.

"I want all trees to be listed on Smart City. So we'll know exactly which trees pruned since January," Basuki said, at City Hall, Tuesday (10/27).

He expressed, by inputting the list on Smart City, it can be known which trees have not been pruned and potentially prone to collapse next year.

"There will notification, trees from which area that prone to collapse," he said.

He uttered, by doing this way, Parks and Cemeteries Department can concentrate doing pruning of trees on location notified with the application.

He added, besides trees list, on the application should also be inputted with program of new tree seedlings fertilization that have been planted.

"If it's going, we can monitor and follow the progress of all trees on computer. So there would be no more collapsed trees in Jakarta," he disclosed.
