Normalization Work will Be Conducted in Grogol River

Administration is about to run normalization work against Grogol water river in
Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. This is as an anticipatory way of flooding.
Inventorying process is still ongoing, later on residents will be relocated to flat then
“It will be
dredged soon by South Jakarta Water Management Sub-Dept,” said Bessy Rajagah, Infrastructure Head of Kebayoran Lama Sub-District, Wednesday (10/28).
Rajagah added, his side is currently inventorying the number of rampant illegal
buildings along riverbank.
“Inventorying process is still ongoing, residents will
be relocated to flat later on,” he expressed.
Normalization
planning is as a response of local residents complaint about flooding that
frequent hit their residential area during rainy season.
"South
Jakarta Water Management Sub-department will survey the area before
dredging and normalization work," he disclosed.
