Jakarta Governor, Basuki "Ahok" T Purnama claimed that he has the solution to trash problem in the capital. It is associated with detention towards dump trucks belonging to the city government in Bekasi and Bogor.

Ahok disclosed, before stopping contract with PT Godang Tua Jaya (GTJ), as an operator of Bantargebang Landfill, there is never a case of detaining dump trucks to Bantargebang.
"I don't know, I think there are people behind this. Then I want to ask, is there anyone questioned the operational hours when I let PT Godang Tua's cars work? I never heard of it. I tell anyone who plays us, I am very resistant face you," he asserted.
The other solutions are chosen by him, which is by building incinerator or trash processing machine. By doing so, the trash management in the capital can be done independently.
"In future, we will build incinerator. We also don't dispose trash to Bogor or Bekasi, it's wasting time and spend a lot of money," he exclaimed.
Ahok also planned to build four intermediate treatment facilities (ITF) in Sunter, Semanan, Cakung Cilincing, and Marunda. Markets in Jakarta are hoped could process trash independently thus it will reduce its volume.
"In Kemang for instance, I have friends a lot. Their houses have been designed, where the trash processed independently, burned and had the furnace itself due to big house. For me, this is a blessing and a chance to improve. We will face anyone," he finished.
