2016, Tipping Fee Allocation Fund to Bantar Gebang Stopped

Jakarta Dept. of City Cleanliness ensured will not allocate tipping fee or trash management fund to Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST) next year.

We will suffer more loss if the cooperation is continued

Ali Maulana, vice of the agency, admitted that Jakarta Provincial Government plans to stop the contract with Pt Godang Tua Jaya. It is the best way to reduce the loss.

"We will suffer more loss if the cooperation is continued," he said, Thursday (11/5).

Based on Monetary Supervision Board (BPK) report, Jakarta Provincial Government suffered loss up to billion rupiah in 2013.

"We lost Rp 182 billion in 2013 and Rp 400 billion in 2014," he added.

In the future, the trash management in Jakarta will use self-management system without involving private sector. Rp 260 billion has been prepared for next year budget.

"Jakarta is still allocate community development fund for Bekasi. The amount is 20 percent higher compared to previous one," he disclosed.
