Central Government Intervension Needed to Tackle Flood

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat revealed that the intervention from Central Government through Coordinating Board for Spatial Development Planning (BKPRN) is important to overcome flood in the capital.

He added that the government's intervention as flood handling is because the existence of Jabodetabekpunjur's Government Cooperation Board (BKSP) has no authority to take any decision.

“ I ask all parties to take a role over flood handling, especially central government . Because issue among regions can only solved by the central government,” he uttered, Wednesday (11/11).

Flood issue seems hard to be solved if there is no government intervention.

“As long as the cooperation board has no binding authority, it will always be impotent board,” he stated.
