7 Permanent Water Pumps will Be Installed in Kampung Pulo

In a bid to avoid
puddle in residential area during rainy season, Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood
Control Office (BBWSCC) will install 7 permanent water pumps in
Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
There are currently 4 temporary pumps provided. While for 7 permanent pumps will be installed after the box culvert construction done

Agus Triwibowo, Project Manager of
Ciliwung Normalization work said the respective pumps have power 2,500 liters
per second. Those pumps will be attached permanently in box culvert that
connect to residential channel. From the total pumps, there are currently two
pumps respectively provided by BBWSCC and Jakarta Water Management Department.
“There are currently 4 temporary
pumps provided. While for 7 permanent pumps will be installed after the box
culvert construction done,” he said, Wednesday (11/18).
Triwibowo continued that those
pumps’ function to suck out water from residential channel towards Ciliwung
River. “The installation is slated to be done in December. We are going to close
channel to blockage water,” he disclosed.
