Anticipating Juvenile Delinquency, 150 Teachers Given Guidance

As many as 150 supervising teachers from Junior High School (SMP) until Senior High School (SMA)/Vocational School in North Jakarta, given the guidance and coordination about juvenile delinquency handling. It is done to minimize its existence.

Assistant for Public Welfare, North Jakarta Administration, Muhammad Efiskal asked the teachers to be more active doing approach to prevent brawl and drug abuse among students.

"Supervising teachers in schools is essential to minimize juvenile delinquency. Hence, they should be more active approach the students," he disclosed, Wednesday (11/18).

RPTRA Intensified to Prevent Juvenile Delinquency

Head of Education and Library Sub-Section for North Jakarta Mental and Spiritual Education (PMS), Setyowati Dewi stated that the activity's aim is to provide the knowledge, insight and skill to handle juvenile delinquency.

"Its existence is hoped to be able to remind and direct students avoiding negative things. In addition, students who received guidance from the teacher, can also provide socialization to his friends," he closed.
