East Jakarta Mayor Participated to Clean Channel in Cipayung

As many as 150 joint officers held communal work on Jalan Budi Murni, RT 08/03, Urban Village Cipayung, East Jakarta, Sunday (11/22). The activity which was led by the Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana, cleaned trash piles and dredged the water channel. Previously, the officers held joint muster on Budi Murni Football Field.

There was complaint from residents about the puddle last week

Bambang said that the activity was conducted as the neighborhood in RT 08 and 04/03 were inundated when heavy raining last week. It was because the water infiltration area now is going to be used as flat. Such condition is getting worse since the land contour is located in basin area and the water channel is malfunctioned.

"There was complaint from residents about the puddle last week. Hence, today we're doing communal work, cleaning trash and channel," he said.

Mayor of East Jakarta Led Communal Work in Tengah Urban Village

The joint officers involved were the urban village  and sub-district apparatus, water management sub-department personnel, Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers, other related units. They were equipped with sober tools such as hoe, shovel, broom stick, and dust pan. All of the trash and mud then transported to the truck provided.
