4 Luxury Houses in Menteng Arrear Tax Payment

Four luxury houses in Menteng, Central Jakarta, which is in arrears payment of Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax (PBB P2), posted signs and stickers written tax arrears by officers from the Regional Tax Service Unit (UPPD) Menteng, Tuesday (11/24).

Those four houses are located at Jalan Taman Sunda Kelapa, Jalan Cut Nyak Dien, Jalan Suroso, and Jalan Syamsu Rizal.

Head of UPPD Menteng Office, Paulina said these building owners have tax arrears Rp 3.1 billion. Previously, his side had urged them, either through urban village office and leaflets.

"We sent notification letter to them that saying if they have yet to pay tax dated 20, your house will be posted signs and sticker. If they promised to pay at that time, we will remove it back, as long as they make agreement," she expressed.

She furthered, it is an early stage. With hope, it could be a warning to other taxpayers who do not pay taxes.

"People can take advantage of the department heads policy about the abolishment of tax penalties until 2015, which is by paying off taxes," explained Paulina.
