7 SDs in Pulogebang Become Finalists of Science Competition

As many as 7 Elementary School (SD)s in Pulogebang Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta, were chosen as finalists of Science, Engineering, Technology, and Mathematics (STEM) held by a producer company of famous luxury cars from England. The 7 schools are SDN 04, 05, 12, 13, 20, 22, and SDIT As-Salamah Pulogebang.

The event is purposed to develop STEM education in the sub-district through educative activity which is creative and innovative

Budi Abdullah, Head of General Division and Protocol of East Jakarta stated that eventually those finalists will perform their skill get champion predicate in Building C of East Jakarta Mayor Office, on the upcoming Saturday (11/28).

The competition included in the event are wind powered car, thrower car, and mass transport car competitions.

Schools in Central Jakarta Encouraged to Have Waste Bank

"Almost 300 participants have been auditioned in Cakung Sub-District. The event is purposed to develop STEM education in the sub-district through educative activity which is creative and innovative," he disclosed, Tuesday (11/24).

As planned, President Director of the company is going to attend directly from England to give his speech as well as giving the prize for the winner.

"The event is corporate social responsibility (CSR) program from foreign company. East Jakarta Mayor is also going to attend the final event," he said.
