Schools in Central Jakarta Encouraged to Have Waste Bank

Central Jakarta Administration encouraged waste bank development in whole Elementary School (SD) until Senior High School (SMA) all over Central Jakarta. 

We're going to encourage schools to have waste bank as we realize a lot of waste have economic value and could be income for the school

Deputy Mayor of Central Jakarta, Arifin stated that besides, waste bank could reduce waste volume and raise student awareness about environment. 

"We're going to encourage schools to have waste bank as we realize a lot of waste have economic value and could be income for the school," he stated, Monday (11/23). 

Contract Worker Prepared For Processing Waste Bank

He added that on the progress later, every student once a week is obligated to bring non-organic waste from home to be processed at school. Therefore, he continued, they already sort waste at their each home. 

"The program will be realized soon, next week we're going to socialize it to all school principal in Central Jakarta," he explained.
