Two Roads in Rawa Buaya Elevated

In effort of anticipating flood, Jalan Palapa and Kopaja in Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng,West Jakarta, were elevated about 30 up to 60 centimeters. 

The budget is from residents self-mange fund

Rawa Buaya Urban Village Head, Ridwan stated that all this time those road were often flooded since the position was lower. 

"Jalan Palapa Raya is elevated about 60 cm along 250 meters. As for Jalan Kopaja is elevated about 30 cm," he stated, Monday (11/30). 

Rp 90 B Allocated for Damaged Road Repair

He added, the elevation of Jalan Raya Palapa spent budget amounted to Rp 250 million as for Jalan Kopaja amounted to Rp 70 million. 

"The budget is from residents self-mange fund. Within this two years, the elevation had been listed on the budget yet failed to be implemented. That's why we take initiative to  raise funds from residents and entrepreneurs for the elevation," he explained.
