Pondok Kopi Residents Jointly Constructing Throughway

Residents of RT 09/11, Pondok Kopi Urban Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta is holding communal work constructing a throughway from the residential towards East Flood Canal Inspection Road, Sunday (12/13).

Their spirit deserves to have thumbs up and be a role model for other residents in East Jakarta

"Their spirit deserves to have thumbs up and be a role model for other residents in East Jakarta," said Deputy Mayor of East Jakarta, Husein Murad, when he observed the construction.

Murad claimed, he was glad for the resident's effort in self-help arranging the neighborhood. It is hoped such activity could keep being done to solve any problems in each area.

Basuki Questioned Huge Budget for KBT Maintenance

"It is proven that effort of the urban village government run as expected. There is contribution from residents to solve problem in their neighborhood," he expressed.

Pondok Kopi Urban Village Head, Panangaran Ritonga uttered, all this time, there had been road in the residential. But it cannot go through the inspection road. The throughway constructed by residents is along 30 meters and 2 meters wide.

"Residents constructed the throughway to get the main road faster," he explained.

While the construction budget was from residents self-help budget collected by the local RT caretaker. It is targeted to be done within a week.
