Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama asked for support from Bank Indonesia in the capital city to issue Jakarta one card.

Basuki disclosed that Jak-One card issuance was inspired from the use of multi-purpose card in Hongkong with card name, Octopus card.

Basuki added, the card will simplify transaction process for residents.
“This help us to grant aid for residents, however we also let underprivileged residents to grab Transjakarta bus for free,” he expressed.
