Illegal Buildings Along Kalimalang Inspection Road Demolished

Illegal buildings and stalls near construction of Bekasi Cawang Kampung Melayu Toll Road, Jl Kalimalang, Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, torn down by joint personnel, Tuesday (12/15).

The land was been acquired before but the buildings there have not been controlled

Deputy Mayor of East Jakarta, Husein Murad disclosed it is a continuation of demolition carried out last October.

"The land was been acquired before but the buildings there have not been controlled. We do this to optimize Bekasi Cawang Kampung Melayu Toll Road project," he uttered.

He added, whole building starting from Pondok Kelapa until Cawang is given deadline to be torn down in accordance with the procedures.

"The owner should tear down the building in accordance with the procedure 14 days after land acquisition. But it has not been done, that's why we do it by ourselves," he uttered.
