Homestay Buildings in Onrust Island Sealed

As many as 2 homestay buildings owned by Technical Management Unit of Maritime Museum for Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department, that were just built in cultural heritage of Onrust Island, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, finally sealed since it has not responded the warning letter given.

We want those two buildings to be moved or torn down

Head of Seribu Islands Spatial Planning Sub-Department, Ismet uttered based on the procedure, after 14 days since the letter given, the management have not processed the building permit, then officers have a right to seal the building.

"Even the building also violates the minimum coastline (GSP) along 15 meters from the seashore," he uttered, Thursday (12/10).

Homestay in Onrust Island will Be Reported to Governor

He added, previously the management side had applied application letter to remove the seal yet his side rejected it.

"We want those two buildings to be moved or torn down as the distance is 15 meters of the coastline, anybody is not allowed to build without rules even in the island which is the cultural heritage," he asserted.
