Sidewalk Along Jalan Kuningan Madya Raya Monopolized by Street Vendors

Tens of street vendors are monopolized sidewalk along Jalan Kuningan Madya Raya, Guntur Urban Village, Setiabudi, South Jakarta. Such condition is obviously unsettling road users.

There are 40 street vendors there and they have been proposed as guidance vendors

Beritajakarta.com observation, tens of semi permanent shanties made of wood stand on the sidewalk without leaving any space for pedestrians. In addition, there are also some motorcycles parking on the road side.

Setiabudi Sub-District Head, Fredi Setiawan said that his side has proposed those street vendors to be guidance vendors in South Jakarta Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperative (KUMKMP) Sub-Department.

"There are 40 street vendors there and they have been proposed as guidance vendors," he said, Wednesday (12/16).

He told, those street vendors are not allowed to build semi permanent shanties, and have to leave a space for pedestrian, and maintain the environment clean liness.
