Puddle Anticipation, Arion Intersection Installed with Crossing

To anticipate puddle which often happen at Arion intersection, East Jakarta Administration installs crossing or culverts precisely besides Arion Building until besides BCA building at Jalan Paus Raya.

Eventually there will be steel plate installed on it to make it more convenient

Head of East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Ahmad Yazied Bustomi the installation of crossing along 30 meters was done gradually since it is conducted at night until 5 AM.

"The first step, we install 6 meters first then covered. So that in the next morning it can be passed by vehicles. Eventually there will be steel plate installed on it to make it more convenient," he explained, Thursday (12/17).

The installation is targeted to be done in 5-7 days. Many utility networks and the short process time become the obstacle on the field.

"Since the old crossing have been clogged by trash and the height is only 1 meter, so we replace it with 3-meter new crossing," he told.

The installation budget is about Rp 4 billion. But that amount of budget already includes normalization budget of connecting channel at Jalan Paus along 139 meters. Infact, the channel is instantly concreted. The channel width is up to 2 meters and the depth is 2 meters.
