Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, asks Jakarta Dept. of Cooperative, Micro Small and Middle Enterprise, and Trade (KUMKMP) not only giving training for street vendors.

“The agency's task is simple. Propose a budget to provide tent and cart. Find a place for street vendors selling their product. Just like Lenggang Jakarta in Monas,” he said, Friday (12/18).

He also asks the agency to give credit for street vendors selling in flat. “Find the flat, give them credit, none of the street vendors are unlisted. That’s it,” he added.

Basuki reminds the agency to give new aluminum cart for the vendors. “Street vendors can get loan from Bank DKI or working together with PD Dharma Jaya and PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya,” he continued.

He targeted to give loan for 100-200 street vendors from Bank DKI. So far, there are 500-600 thousand street vendors still unmanaged.

“Street vendors must pay retribution to Bank DKI continuously to get the loan,” he closed.
