Passengers and Crews of Tawakal Boat Evacuated

As many as 10 passengers and 2 crews of Tawakal Motor Boat who had been stranded due to malfunctioned machine, finally evacuated by Seribu Islands Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept.

This morning we continued the evacuation to Tidung Island and the boat is being fixed in Pari Island

"After we found the boat at 12 AM last night, the passengers and the boat crews then evacuated to the closest island (Pari Island), all of them are survived," said Chief of Rescue Team for Seribu Islands PKP Sub-dept, Andri Priatmono, Friday (12/25).

He added, since all homestays in the island were already full, the passengers and the boat crews stayed at one of the local resident houses until the morning.

"This morning, we continued the evacuation to Tidung Island and the boat is being fixed in Pari Island," he explained.

Previously, about 5 AM, the boat (Kali Adem-Tidung Island) departed from Kali Adem, but suddently the boat machine malfunctioned and off in Bokor waters, South Seribu Islands.

The boat then oscillated and stranded until there was one of the passengers report to SAR team. The boat was found around 12 AM and evacuated to Pari Island.
