Australian Tourist Died After Intending to Help Boat Crew

An Australian tourist, Gregory Robert Jones (41) died after falling from Tidung Express Motor Boat when it was about to anchor at Pelangi Island Port, last Sunday (12/13).

The victim has been brought to Seribu Islands Hospital yet he did not survive

The tourist died with a wound on his belly hit by the boat's propeller. It happened when he was about to help the boat's crew who fell into the sea.

Chief of Seribu Islands Resort Police, AKBP John Weynart Hutagalung stated that based on the information from the witness, when the boat was about to anchor 1 meter from the port, Cecep Sulaiman (20), the boat's crew fell and swept away when he was preparing the anchor rope. Unfortunately, the victim who wanted to help him then hit by the propeller.

"The victim has been brought to Seribu Islands Hospital yet he did not survive. while Cecep is still being searched until," he explained, Monday (12/14).

He added, until this time the case is still being processed.
