Tens of Satpol PP officers held a raid against fireworks and firecrackers traders at Jalan DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

After being raided, most of traders have no firecrackers

Unfortunately, there were no firecrackers detected during the raid. As a result, the officers only controlled the stalls which used the roadside. They then demolished and transported using trucks.

"Firecrackers are prohibited since it could trigger brawl. Fireworks are allowed yet there's a limitation, it must be below 2 inches," said Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village Head, Sri Sundari, Wednesday (12/30).

She told that her side gives a chance to residents to earn year-end sustenance by selling fireworks. But it should be orderly and not disrupting the traffic.

"It's seasonal, they're going to disband on the January 1. After being raided, most of traders have no firecrackers, but we'll keep monitoring," she disclosed.
