Basuki Involves Professional Architect to Revitalize Kota Tua

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama was disappointed with PT Pembangunan Kota Tua or called Jakarta Old Town Revitalization Corp (JOTRC) because they are deemed slowly to revitalize buildings in Kota Tua area.

He (Budi Lim) is different from JOTRC. He just serves to revitalize buildings

To speed up revitalization process, the city administration finally cooperated with a Professional Architect, Budi Lim.

"He (Budi Lim) is different from JOTRC. He just serves to revitalize buildings," he stated, at City Hall, Wednesday (1/28).

Teens of Kiosks in Kota Tua Demolished

Basuki admitted he was interested to establish cooperation after he saw Mr. Budi Lim's mockup of Kota Tua. This mockup was published on television in one of private television stations.

"I watched his mockup on television. From that, I immediately invited him to bring the mockup here," he expressed.

He went on the say that, in the mockup, Kota Tua area is made as a new hangout site for Jakartans. The land as wide as three hectares will be used with various concepts, one of them is river tour concept that will be built around the river.
