Reported by Aldi Geri Lumban Tobing | Translated by Nugroho Adibrata
The Tebet Sub-district Community Health Center (puskesmas), South Jakarta adds one medical officer to serve 24-hour service starting at 4-9 PM. It is aimed to respond public complaint about healthcare service queue via Qlue application.
Qlue application is for 24-hour service, instead of the overall service
Head of Implementer Unit for Individual Health Unit (UKP) in Tebet Sub-district Puskesmas, Dwi Rahayu explained, all this time, medical officer or doctor for 24-hour service is only one person.
"Qlue application is for 24-hour service, instead of the overall service. We indeed prioritize on emergency case like accident, convulsion, etc. It is like we ignore service queue but isn't," she explained, Monday (2/1).
Puskesmas Head Rotation Applied SoonAccording to her, medical officer of doctor in each puskesmas is already adequate. Her side cannot set the service time for one patient only, because it depends on the patient's individual case.
She also asserted, medical officer cannot set the patient treatment time in which it can influence on doctor professionalism. That is why it is natural if the patients have to queue for long time.
"We can't do anything if there are many patients in puskesmas. If the service is speeded up, it cannot be done maximally and influence on doctor profesionalism," she closed.
