Djarot Optimistic Velodrome Work Will Finish On Time

For Velodrome, its groundbreaking will probably be done among April or May

Jakarta Vice Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat is optimistic that the Bike Race Stadium, Veldrome, Rawamangun, East Jakarta will be complete on time. He assessed, the groundbreaking will be conducted among April or May.

"For Velodrome, its groundbreaking will probably be done among April or May," he told, Monday (2/1).

City Administration Supports Velodrome Acceleration

According to Djarot, such work is much more difficult than the horse race track. The reason is, the contractor who is believed to change the velodrome face must have UCI license (United Cycle International). Although it is difficult, he is sure the groundbreaking can be implemented in the near future.

"Surely it is difficult, because the contractor must have UCI license. In accordance with the report, If it could be accelerated, why not?," he said.

He hoped, it could be complete early than a predetermined time. "Our agreement was in February 2018 before, but we hope it can be complete faster," he stressed.

He once again stressed that his side will accelerate the work as soon as possible. Considering the building floor should not use foreign product.
