City Blacklisted 114 Contractors

Throughout 2015, Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Agency (BPPBJ) noted, at least 114 unruly contractors are blacklisted. In the future, they will be prohibited to cooperate with the city administration.

Jakarta BPPBJ Head, Blessmiyanda disclosed, those contractors blacklisted is due to mistake when the auction and running work that was handled.

"It happens when the auction, we found errors in the document and work that is not in line with expectations," he explained, Wednesday (2/3).

He disclosed his party never passed every contractor that goes into the black list of city administration. 

"We check the document and it was legal, where the value offered must be in accordance with project that will be done, so they won in the auction. If they did mistake someday and listed in black list, it is the authority of regional working unit (SKPD) and inspectorate," he described.

In future, he added, the contractor must be able to demonstrate its credibility.
