City Police: The 2014 Legislative Election Runs Safely

City Police Chief Insp. Gen. Dwi Priyatno ensured that there has been no report of disturbance during the implementation of legislative election.

But, to prevent unwanted things during the election, as many as 26,581 joint personnel from Indonesian Army and BKO (under operational control) were remained deployed to guard 42,390 polling stations (TPS) in Jakarta.

All polling stations in West Jakarta are far from disturbance,” he stated, Wednesday (4/9).

According to Imran, as many as 1,485 personnel were deployed to guard 3,818 polling stations, where eight of those polling stations were guarded by two policemen and 16 others by Community Protection (Linmas) officers.

“Ideally, two policemen guard two polling stations. But due to lack of personnel, we used the pattern of two personnel, eight polling stations, and 16 Linmas officers,” he finished.
