Under Kampung Pulo Flyover Proposed to Be Park and Ride Site

East Jakarta Administration is going to transform under Kampung Melayu Flyover, Jatinegara into a site of park and ride in the near future.

Mayor of East Jakarta, Bambang Musyawardana said, besides avoiding people with social welfare problems (PMKS), the park and ride project will also facilitate residents to get Transjakarta bus or train due to near Kampung Melayu Terminal and Tebet Station.

“I will propose the project in executive meeting (rapim). It is also aimed to cast out PMKS,” he expressed, Monday (2/8).

Monas Will Become the Biggest Park and Ride

He assessed, it can also decrease the use of private vehicle in the city. But, if the parking lot has been built and operated 24 hours, the place will be free from cart and stall.
