Flood on Jalan Syaridin Receded Less Than Three Hours

Jalan Syaridin that is located at RT 04/11 Ragunan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu Sub-District, is one of the flood-prone areas. Its location is in the lowlands traversed by Ragunan River, make this area often inundated.

Last year, the flood was severe, it can recede almost one day

Jajang, (22), one of citizens at RT 04/11 told, flood that inundates his residential when rain on Tuesday reaches approximately 40 meters high.

"Water begins to rise at 5 PM. In front of my house, water level reaches adult hip and adult thigh in the house," he told, Thursday (2/11).

Nevertheless, less than three hours, the flood has receded than previous years which took more than three hours or even one day to recede.

“Last year, the flood was severe, it can recede almost one day,” he told.

 Another citizen, Yuda (25) said, his region has receded twice this year. Thus far, yesterday’s flood is the most severe.

He added, water level was not much different than previous years. However, he considered the flood was receding faster.

“Previous years, the flood at 2-3 PM could recede at night,” he uttered.
