A trash pick-up action held in HI Roundabout today, Sunday (2/14) is aimed at raising people's awareness of Jakarta on the production of trash dumped.

At this time, there have been 24 schools. From these schools, we'll set up trash bank at level of elementary until senior high school in the upcoming March

Mayor of Central Jakarta, Mangara Pardede disclosed, the high trash production proves economic activity in Jakarta is quite high. However, its existence can be minimized from the school environment

"At this time, there have been 24 schools. From these schools, we'll set up trash bank at level of elementary until senior high school in the upcoming March," he expressed, Sunday (2/14).

From school environment, he hoped, trash production in Jakarta could be managed properly.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Ali Maulana Hakim added, private side role is very important to suppress trash production.

"This also coincides with the 3rd anniversary from Jakarta Clean Community," he finished.
