Green House will Be Built in 20 Locations Soon

Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) revealed his pleasure when seeing the development of urban farming conducted at the Green House in Marunda Flat, North Jakarta, Friday (4/11). Hence, he plans to add its existence in Jakarta.

One has been ongoing and managed by 10 farmers where they had been educated in terms of farming from modern plants with hydroponic technology. This year, we will build green house at 20 locations

According to Jokowi, Green House program is the first program and successful, thus it can provide job opportunities and can increase incomes. As planned, 20 other new locations will soon be built.

Jokowi to Provide Green House in Marunda Flat

He furthered that such program would be realized in some flats. They are Pluit, Cibesel, Pinus Elok, Daan Mogot, and Komarudin. They had large lands and green open space (RTH). "We'll build green house in each flat, because it is easily organized," he expressed.

Regarding fund for green house construction, is taken from the City Budget (APBD). After green house was built, its management would run independently.

"The fund is approximately about Rp 200 million, including seeds and its income can reach 20-24 million per month," he finished.
