E. Jakarta Administration Provides Aid for 4,619 RW Janitors

About 4,619 RW janitors in East Jakarta could smile happily for getting Rp 2 billion from East Jakarta government-appointed Islamic Charitable Donations Board, Bazis.

This aid is a form of East Jakarta City Administration concern to the janitors who have worked hard to maintain the cleanliness in East Jakarta, so that last year East Jakarta won Adipura Cup

The aid was given symbolically by East Jakarta HR Krisdianto in East Jakarta Mayor Office, Sunday (4/13).

The recipients consist of elementary, junior, and senior high school janitors, as well as janitors at Mayor Office in East Jakarta. Each of them got Rp 450 thousand aid that consists of cash amounting to Rp 250 thousand and basic need packages.

“This aid is a form of East Jakarta City Administration concern to the janitors who have worked hard to maintain the cleanliness in East Jakarta, so that last year East Jakarta won Adipura Cup, even won Jakarta provincial level in the first place and fourth place at the national level,” explained Krisdianto.

Chief of East Jakarta Bazis Dwi Busara stated that the total fund for this program is Rp 2,078,550,000 that comes from 2013 ZIS collecting. It is a routine program of East Jakarta Bazis that has been done since 2009.

“This program is aimed to help the poor that work as janitors, part of society that often forgotten,” Dwi told.

There are 4,619 janitors that consist of 2,926 Swadaya RW janitors, 1,459 janitors of Education Dept. elementary and junior high school janitors, and 234 senior high school janitors.

Angga, a janitor of RW 06 Utan Kayu Selatan admitted that he was so happy with this aid.

Alhamdulillah, even though I have to wait in long line, this aid really help our life," he thanked.
