24 New RPTRAs to Brighten Up South Jakarta

As many as 24 new Children-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA) will be added in South Jakarta in the near future. Its realization will use City Budget (APBD).
One RPTRA will not exceed Rp 1.3 billion
Head of South Jakarta Housing and Government Building Sub-dept, Yaya Mulyarso disclosed, Rp 61 billion will be spent to build those 24 RPTRAs. "One RPTRA will not exceed Rp 1.3 billion," he stated, Monday (3/7).
According to him, the physical development will directly be done after physical planning phase in which it is still being processed by his sub-dept. One RPTRA is predicted to be complete three until four months.
Dr Saharjo RPTRA Ready for Launching"If it is on schedule, we will begin this April or May. It coincides with development of 131 RPTRAs in Jakarta. They just have one floor. It can be seen on a two-story small land as wide as 500-600 meters. Certainly it will inevitably be adjusted," he stated.
Those public spaces would be be built in 20 urban villages that spread in eight sub-districts. With details, as follow:
1. Cilandak Sub-district
- Public spaces will be developed in Pondok Labu, Cilandak Barat, and Cipete Selatan urban villages.
2. Pasar Minggu Sub-district
- In Pejaten Barat, Jati Padang, Kebagusan, and Pasar Minggu urban villages.
3. Jagakarsa Sub-district
- In Srengseng Sawah, Ciganjur, Cipedak, Jagakarsa, and Lenteng Agung urban villages.
4. Kebayoran Lama Sub-district
- With one public space in Grogol Utara, Kebayoran Lama Selatan, and Pondok Pinang urban villages.
5. Tebet Sub-district
- In Tebet Timur and Menteng Dalam urban villages.
6. Setiabudi Sub-district
- In Menteng Atas Urban Village
7. Kebayoran Baru Sub-district
- In Selong
8. Mampang Prapatan Sub-district
- In Mampang Prapatan
"We already surveyed 33 locations before, but nine of them did not meet the criteria," he finished.
