Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama asked cleanliness personnel to monitor sluice gate 24 hours since many trash still found at Manggarai sluice gate.

Basuki asked sluice gate towards Ciliwung Lama river should be opened.

Teguh Hendrawan, Jakarta Dept. of Water Management head, admitted his side has tried to divide the water since last week right after the instruction.
“Katulampa was opened up to 200 meter, then we managed to flow water into Ciliwung Lama and West Flood Canal. We emptied water at Hayam Wuruk up to Tangki when Katulampa was in alert 2. The effect was effective,” he explained.
