Residents of RW 16, Pejagalan Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta requested for Kali Duri dredging. Now the river condition is almost full with mud. It is afraid the condition could cause flood to their area.

Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, mud width is 15 meter. Trees and grass grow on the dry mud.
Alimudin (53), one of citizens, admitted river needs to be dredged soon. When rain pours, the river surface is almost a level with the inspection road beside it.

Abdul Khalit, Penjaringan Sub-district Head, admitted that the river needs to be normalized.
“I’ll coordinate with North Jakarta Sub-dept. of Public Works for Water Management,” he promised.
