Hit by Train, an Old Man Died Instantly at the Scene

Due to recklessly broke through train crossing portal on Jalan Semeru Raya, RT 13/02, Grogol Urban Village, West Jakarta, a 65-year-old man named Laksamana Arifin died tragically after being hit by a train. The victim, who injured quite severe wounds, is directly rushed to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) for autopsy.

According to Tanjung Duren Metro Sector Police Crime Unit Chief AKP Khoiri, the accident happened at 10 AM. Based on the statement from Sudrajat (38), an eyewitness, the accident started when the victim drove his motorcycle alone from Grogol Market to his house on Jalan Semeru Raya, RT 15/02, Grogol Urban Village.

When the victim passed, the train crossing officer was actually has closed the railway portal because Train 1218 from Kota towards Tangerang was about to pass. Moreover, the officer also had reminded the victim not to cross because the train was near.
